The Easiest Way to De-seed a Pomegranate (use the water method!)

Are you also tired of hearing about how "easy" it is to de-seed a pomegranate by whacking it with a spoon and all the seeds are meant to fall out? Yeah it doesn't work for me either. Here's my method of removing pomegranate seeds, which involves water. Believe it or not, it's far less messy than flying pomegranate seeds and juice all over you kitchen!

How to de-seed a pomegranate using the “water method”

First, using a sharp knife, slice off both ends. Stand the pomegranate on one end and slice into sixths. Fill a big bowl halfway with water. Push the skin of the pomegranate to loosen the seeds. Pick out any stubborn seeds. The white pip of the pomegranate will float and the seeds will sink. Easily skim off the unwanted white pip...and you're left with the seeds. Sprinkle over a salad or use as a topping for chia pudding. Easy!

Enjoy!
