About This site
Are you hungry yet?
I love creating recipes and filming them from my kitchen, so you can try them out too! It makes my day when someone tells me I’ve inspired them to cook something.
I want to help you make your kitchen a place of joy, calm and experimentation!
About Me
I properly learned to cook when I was in university from 2005-2010. I quickly had to learn what was cost-effective but still delicious on a tight budget. In between my classes and studying, I often challenged myself to cook up lots of different dishes, really growing my confidence in the kitchen. My family would send me cookbooks to inspire me. That's where my cooking journey really started. I actually started blogging about food back then, and wish I had stuck to it!
I'm not an expert, and I'm not a chef. I'm willing to learn and be inspired by fellow bloggers and culinary professionals along the way. So don't be shy if you know better ways than the methods I'm using - share your knowledge!
What do I like? Perusing the kitchen aisles of the department stores in Copenhagen. Discovering new restaurants and street food spots. Sharing good food finds with friends and colleagues. You can view my Copenhagen and travel discoveries on the "Copenhagen & Beyond" page.
I prefer to cook up simple things. Dishes that require tonnes of non-staple ingredients put me off; I tend to keep my day-to-day cooking simple. I believe that with a few ingredients (and sometimes a lot of patience) you can make very delicious meals.
My kitchen is the place that I de-stress when baking, practically fall into a state of meditation when chopping vegetables, discover new combinations of flavors and look forward to the delicious meal ahead. I want you to feel that comfort and calm too, and I hope that translates in my videos and style. Thank you for joining me on this food journey.
